Manufacturers Survival
The humanity's cultural heritage is growing in geometric scale. Manufacturer
faces every time more efficient competitors.
Development of new processes is arduous work. This work suffers opposition
from defenders' of the archaic and of the ones that don't understand the progress.
To produce goods in the industrial scale we needed to have the product, process,
market, strategy of sale [marketing], organization [administration], and safety. The product owes being of quality same or superior that the existent average in the
market. The process should be more efficient possible. The sale should be of low
cost and should guarantee sale of all production at maximum price. The
circumstances of the consuming market [demand, offer of competitors, prices and
credit] are component which cannot be influenced by manufacturer, but of which
depends the survival or and profit [of the manufacturer]. The safety is the
protection that manufacturer receives from the judiciary system.
Every company depends on these factors. Until that are nothing new, these rules
reign during centuries, what is innovation is the speed with which parameter of
these factors change.
Development of the product, in the archaic method, was lineal: an engineer
executed one part of the project after other, this method is the most economical and
it pass through without great upset. The productivity falls when more people
participate in the work, but period of the execution is reduced. If project is cheap,
but if it comes late that is total loss.
To face the shortage of the time appeared techniques [methods] of work in
parallel and in up to four shifts seven days a week. These techniques are
expensive, but they guarantee conclusion of the project in minimum period.
As "Projects" here we understand:
the development of the product
the project of the assembly line
the calculation of the viability
the definition of the sale strategy
the market analysis
the planning of the production
the analysis of the interference of the products in execution or and
in estimation [survey] one with other.
Application of software in all these projects doesn't have as priority reduction of
cost, but priority to accelerate the service, reducing time of the computation and
of the typing of the input.
When fast software can supply solutions of more than one of the "projects" and
accelerate processing, it shortens the total period.
The system RPS [Regeltechnische Planung und Steuerung] is proper for the net
be fragmented [unfolded] in lines, which can be created separately and copied
into similar nets (Das RPS-System-VDI-Verlag GMBH-Düsseldorf). Same RPS
allows to incorporate cost calculation and to integrate control and generation of
costs pattern.
